What Hojta collects
Nothing.
Hojta is an iPhone app that plays short voice messages on Sonos speakers over your home Wi-Fi. It has no account, no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising and no server of its own.
Where your voice goes
When you hold the talk key, your iPhone records a clip of up to 30 seconds. The clip is served from your iPhone directly to the Sonos speaker you picked, over your local Wi-Fi network, and is deleted from the phone as soon as the speaker has played it. It never leaves your network and is never sent to us or to anyone else.
Microphone
Used to record the message while you hold the key. Nothing is recorded at any other time.
Local network
Used to find Sonos speakers on your Wi-Fi and to send messages to them.
Stored on your iPhone
One setting: the message volume you chose. That is all.
Third parties
Hojta talks only to Sonos speakers on your own network. It uses no third-party software libraries, and this page loads nothing from anyone else either. Hojta is not affiliated with Sonos, Inc. Sonos is a trademark of Sonos, Inc.
